Los Angeles Art Association/Gallery 825 and The Christopher Reeve Foundation are proud to announce "Equity for all Artists," a very special exhibition of work by artists challenged with paralysis and spinal cord injury at Los Angeles Art Association's prestigious Gallery 825.

As a 501(c) (3) nonprofit organization, the mission of Los Angeles Art Association (LAAA) is to provide Los Angeles artists — and especially emerging talent — with opportunities, resources, services and exhibition venues. LAAA has launched the careers of many high-profile artists and continues to play a central role in the Los Angeles arts community by providing our artist members and the public with exceptional exhibitions and programs, as well as a forum for exchange and education through lectures, workshops and networking opportunities. LAAA believes that all artists (including underserved populations) are worthy of support and exposure and we are committed to raising public awareness and appreciation of the talents and abilities of the disabled.

  • Media
All media. No craft or functional art. NOTE: for video, please send 1/2" VHS, NTSC or DVD. And make sure tape is cued. Accepted video artists must provide their own equipment — monitors, projectors, VHS etc. — and tapes must be dubbed for continuous play.

All work must be properly framed and or and ready to hang — no saw tooth or clip on hangers — no exceptions. If works required specific hardware, it must be provided when work is delivered. No two dimensional work shall exceed 6' vertical and 6' horizontal, or weigh over 60 lbs. Glass must not be used in metal frames exceeding 24". Sculptures shall not exceed 100 lbs. At the juror's discretion, work that is dirty, in disrepair or otherwise deemed unfit for display may be excluded from the show. Decisions of the juror are final. Work must be unwrapped upon delivery — LAAA will not store any packing materials.

  • Sales
ALL art sales from this exhibition will go to physically disabled artists — strengthening their efforts toward self-sufficiency.

  • Liability
LAAA, its staff, Board, The Christopher and Dana Reeve Foundation, or anyone connected to the exhibition will not be responsible for loss, damage, breakage or theft of artwork while at the gallery. Your entry into this exhibition constitutes agreement with these terms and conditions as set forth herein.
